The Village of Recovery originated from Darrell Howard's personal journey in recovery, spurred by his own experiences and the loss of his son to alcohol and drug abuse. Through encounters with others facing addiction in their families, incarceration, and related family challenges, Darrell felt compelled to extend support to more individuals seeking recovery and healing.

Witnessing numerous individuals navigating similar struggles tied to addiction, incarceration, and family dynamics, Darrell envisioned a platform to reach out to those eager to heal.

This community was conceived as a space for collective learning and dialogue about addiction's impact on families, fostering the reconnection and restoration of familial relationships.

At The Village of Recovery, a communal setting encourages the sharing of information and personal narratives, facilitating mutual support, learning, and healing in the recovery journey.
